The program, Sure
On This Shining Night will highlight Cantus Novus’s
ability to perform
a wide variety of repertoire. Featured
will
be German masterworks from the Baroque through the Romantic eras as
well as
works in Latin, Church Slavonic and English from the Renaissance
through the
modern day. We hope you enjoy the program of hope, rebirth and

Cantus
Novus is an auditioned chamber choir based in Bucks County, PA.
Specializing in a cappella repertoire, the ensemble sings a varied
repertoire
including both choral masterworks and contemporary works of the best
choral
composers. In addition to its annual concerts in December and May, the
ensemble
performs regularly at other venues in the Delaware Valley throughout
the year.
Cantus Novus supports a choral intern program that provides talented
high
school and college-aged vocalists the opportunity to sing with the
ensemble
each season. The ensemble’s first recording, Jubilate: A
Celebration in
Song, will be available later in 2012.

Novus is Dr. John Leonard, professor of choral conducting at The
College of New
Jersey, and a graduate of the Esther Boyer College of Music at
