Every
week, something fun is happening at the German Society of Pennsylvania.
Lectures, Panel Discussions,
Movies,
German soccer broadcasts,
and music
fill our home on Spring
Garden Street in Philadelphia.
The
German Society of
Pennsylvania, the oldest German-American organization in the United
States, has several large and unique historic spaces available to rent
for private functions, corporate events, and for photography, film, or
video.
The
building exists in two parts. The first part is an historic 1830s
townshouse purchased by the Society for offices and classrooms in 1887.
The second, which is connected to the first, is a Hall and Library
built in 1888 and on Spring Garden Street.
While the German Society is not a five-star hotel that can fit 400 of
your closest friends and family, it is a building with character and
historical significance. Plus, in addition to it being a
unique place to have your event, the income generated from
your rental is used to help us (a nonprofit
organization)
fund our mission.
