A Volunteer is a person who renders aid, performs a service, or assumes an obligation voluntarily.  Here, at the German Society, we have a wonderful volunteer corps that cooks, cleans, repairs, files, stuffs, runs, and  maintains the functions of the Society and its 19th century building.

Without these special people, the building would never  be able to sustain the expanding operations of a 243-year-old organization.

With that in mind, we open our arms and doors to anyone willing to be part of such an eclectic group of individuals.
If answering phones and greeting people as they enter the building is right up your alley...
If you like to fold, collate, seal, and stamp member mailings...
If ticket-selling, money-collecting or tending bar sounds fun...
If you enjoy cooking for events or large numbers of people...
If you would like to help prepare a room for an event, set up chairs, and take down tables...
If you have a knack with screwdrivers, power tools, or construction equipment...

We have a job for you!

And furthermore, if you have a giving spirit and a few free hours a week...we'll even create a job for you!

Please keep in mind
that giving financially to an organization is only one way of showing your appreciation and support.

To us, your time is just as valuable as your money,
and we would love nothing more than for you to donate a few hours to The German Society.

Yet another advantage of the Society,
although our Business Office is only open 9-5 Monday through Friday,
we have events and activities on nights and weekends...so we can accommodate virtually any schedule!
