Friday Film Fest: Victoria

Come join us for another fabulous Friday Film Fest! Coffee, cake, and homemade soup will be served.   Victoria is a rare feature film that was shot in a single take in Berlin-Kreuzberg and Berlin-Mitte from 4:30 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. on April 27, 2014. Victoria is an innocent Spanish girl who has come to Berlin three months previously. She has a job in a café. After a night of dancing, she meets four young men from Berlin on the street outside the dance club. They speak English together since she doesn’t know much German yet. What follows is a fascinating story of her involvement with these young Berliners who engage in criminal activity as a means of repaying a debt to a gangster boss.   The segments of the film in German will have English subtitles, and the English parts of the film will have German subtitles.
