Humboldt Fiesta

Sat. Sep. 21, 2019 - 4:00pm - 7:00pm
On Saturday, September 21, from 4pm to 7pm, we will have a Humboldt Fiesta on the German Society’s Leidy Terrace, in honor of the countries where Humboldt made his brilliant naturalist observations of flora and fauna between 1799 and 1804.
The Fiesta will feature music by Magdaliz Roura and her Latin Ensemble Crisol, and both food and drink will reflect the South American theme. Tickets to this event will be $20. Cash bar. The Library will have a special exhibit of its Humboldt holdings, and some of the presenters from the March 20 event will be available to share their knowledge once again. You will also have the opportunity to ‘adopt’ a book by or about Humboldt so that it can receive preservation treatment – as all of the Library’s Humboldt holdings are at least 150 years old, if not older, and have been used quite a bit over the centuries, they could use some TLC!
Tickets will be available on the GSP website starting August 26.
