Konversationsabend: “Blue Zones” – 9 Lessons for Healthy Aging

Wed. Apr. 14, 2021 - 7:00pm - 8:30pm
We will meet again on April 14, 2021 from 7 to 8:30 pm on Zoom. This evening will be all about health and wellness. We will welcome Dr. Karin Volkwein-Caplan and Dr. Selen Razon, two experts in their field who agreed to provide us with science based advice on healthy lifestyles and answers to questions, concerns, and personal ideas.
This KA evening, we will learn from the people who live the longest in so-called longevity hotspots, the "BLUE ZONES". We will study and apply the scientifically proven ways for you to increase your years of healthy life and come up with an action plan. How can you create your own blue zone by adopting the longevity wisdom into your daily life habits?
People living in the blue zones have different cultures, a different path to longevity and different lifestyles than our Western one. Their history, genes, traditions, and lifestyles and long-standing human experience might differ, but we are all in this together.  We will explore how they eat, interact with each other, shed stress, heal themselves, avoid diseases, and view the world.
Be ready to share with all of us your own experience and wisdom!
All of our events are open to the public.
We welcome members and non-members alike.
