Annual Fund Campaign 2024/ 2025

This year, the German Society of Pennsylvania has continued to grow as a place where tradition and today come together. Thanks to supporters like you, we were able to offer a wide range of cultural programs, strengthen our language education efforts, and make significant strides in preserving our historic building and collections.

Many of you have generously contributed to our recent Capital Campaign to support the renovation of our historic home on Spring Garden Street, and we want to thank you for your unwavering support. This fall, we began replacing aging windows as the first step in a complete overhaul of our façade. These investments ensure that our history is preserved for future generations while enhancing the experience for today’s visitors.

Today we ask for your support for the German Society’s Annual Fund. Your donation fuels our operations and makes possible the many programs we offer to a growing membership. This past year, our Wister Concert Series continued to inspire, German authors shared their stories and insights. Language classes, film screenings, book readings, and community events – as well as celebrations like our German dance parties and annual Stiftungsfest - have provided opportunities for all ages to connect, learn, and celebrate culture. Our amazing library continues to showcase German and German American heritage through its Treasure Tour series and other lectures and discussions.  These programs bring people together to ensure that the contributions of German-speaking immigrants and the connection to German-speaking Europe remain a vibrant part of our cultural landscape.

None of this progress would be possible without the ongoing support of you, our members and friends. As we launch our annual fund campaign, we’ve set a goal of raising $70,000 to sustain our operations, maintain our facilities, and continue offering meaningful programs that inspire and educate.

It allows us to stay relevant in today’s fast changing world, host engaging events, preserve priceless artifacts, and welcome everyone to share in the rich culture of German-speaking peoples.
