Saturday Youth Classes

Our Saturday morning youth German classes are open to students age 5-11 who wish to learn German! We are open to both complete beginners and more advanced students. The focus is primarily on learning basic German words and phrases. Our teachers use songs, games, and stories to help students learn and to encourage as much response in German as possible. In addition to speaking and listening, older and more advanced students are also introduced to the basics of reading and writing the German Language.

Cost/Payments:
Tuition:                 $100 per 10-week term (Y1 - ages 5-6), $200 per 10-week term (Y2 - ages 7-11 "parents and me")

Membership:       $30 (for new members or those whose membership has expired)

Due to economic setbacks, we do not offer payment plans or prorated tuition. We do not offer refunds for unattended classes.

Choosing a Class:
Classes are divided up by age group, with Y1 being for 5-6 year-olds,  Y2 being for 7-11 year-olds and their parents (if desired). If your child has already had some exposure to German and you feel that he or she may be more advanced, please contact the office so we can help determine the right class for them.

Class Cancellations:
If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, each child's parents will be notified via phone and email as early as possible. At the next meeting, the teacher and parents will then reschedule a make-up class for a mutually agreeable date.
