Deutscher Familiennachmittag & Laternenumzug

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the German Society of PA will host a special "Deutscher Familiennachmittag (German Family Afternoon) and Laternenumzug" (Lantern Parade) event.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m., families can enjoy an engaging afternoon filled with German cultural activities designed for all ages. Following the Familiennachmittag, a traditional Laternenumzug will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., where families will walk with lit lanterns—a beautiful tradition symbolizing warmth and community as winter approaches. After the Laternenumzug join us at the terrace for a camp fire and hot cider.

This celebration offers an authentic German experience and is a wonderful opportunity to bring families and friends together in the spirit of St. Martin’s Day.
