Konversationsabend: Actualities

We will start the KA fall season of 2019 on Wednesday, September 18 at 6pm in the Ratskeller at the German Society. Our September theme will be Actualities - Germany: News, Trends and Developments.
We will discuss political trends in Germany, this time focussing on the EU elections and the latest Landtagswahlen (regional elections) in East Germany, including the surprises, shocks, and scandals that came with these elections.
As always, we will look at the latest developments regarding ecological questions, migrant policies, the general state of the nation, the Brexit turmoil, the first serious negative projections on the development of the German economy as a result of the current international trade wars, and much more. And maybe, at the end of the evening, there will be time for a sequence of the satirical and always hilarious "Heute" show.
This time, we will have an open discussion after a very short introduction to provide an opportunity for all of you to contribute your own information and opinions.
As always – all are invited, all are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
